The UK’s independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals.

The ICO has been developing its understanding of people's attitudes to information rights issues through a citizen reference panel (CRP).

The CRP involves a focus group made up of members of the public, who are asked to discuss a range of issues and topics. These meetings allow the ICO to gain insight from the public on the information rights landscape.
