The ICO has carried out follow up work with the following political parties: The Conservative Party, The Labour Party, The Liberal Democrats, The Scottish National Party, The Democratic Unionist Party, and Plaid Cymru. The letter below has been sent to all Party Chairs / Chief Executives in conclusion of the engagements.

As part of this work, in December 2021, the ICO issued The United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) with a formal reprimand requiring improvements to the party’s data protection governance and training, transparency and privacy risk assessment practices.
