We expect that some products that come into the Sandbox will be at the cutting edge of what is possible within specific fields and sectors. They may be operating in some particularly challenging areas of data protection or areas where there is genuine uncertainty about what compliance looks like.
We want to be open to working with these products and services, and the organisations developing them. In these cases, we may identify more fundamental questions with broader implications for data protection.
We hope to treat these products as use-cases to anticipate change and develop public guidance and resources on compliance, and potentially to feed into the development of codes of conduct in particular sectors where future regulatory provision may be required.
