Complain to the ICO
Home CCTV users should provide you with copies of footage where you appear, if you ask for it. If you asked the user and they haven’t given it to you, they are in breach of data protection law.
If you submit a complaint to us, we will write to the CCTV user. In our letter, we may ask them to provide you with the requested footage.
There is limited action the ICO can take to make the person comply after this point.
We cannot retrieve the footage for you.
It is highly unlikely the ICO would consider it fair and balanced to take any enforcement action against a home CCTV user.
