Complain to the ICO
Home CCTV users should delete footage of you, if you ask. If you asked the user to delete the footage and they haven’t done so, they are in breach of data protection law.
If you submit a complaint to us, we will write to the CCTV user. In our letter, we may ask them to delete the footage.
There is a limited amount of action the ICO can take after this point, to make the person comply.
We cannot force someone to delete footage.
It is highly unlikely the ICO would consider it fair and balanced to take any enforcement action against a home CCTV user.
