As required by section 124 of the Data Protection Act 2018, the ICO is working on a code of practice about processing personal data for the purposes of journalism.
The code will provide practical guidance for media organisations and journalists on how to comply with their data protection obligations in the context of journalism.
As part of the first stage of the consultation process, we asked organisations and individuals for their views. We have now published their responses and our summary of the responses.
