  • Decision(s) FOI 10: Upheld
The complainant requested details of any legal advice, other than provided by Elizabeth Wilmhurst (the former legal advisor to the FCO), to the British Government which cast doubt on the legality of military action against Iraq. The FCO did not confirm or deny whether the information specified in the request was held within the 20 working day time limit. The Decision Notice identified the breach but did not require any steps to be taken as a response was subsequently sent to the complainant.
