On 5 January 2005 the complainant requested information comprising of legal advice relating to the change of name of Londonderry Corporation to Derry City Council. The public authority informed the complainant that the information was exempt under section 35 and section 42 and the complainant approached the Commissioner. Following intervention by the Commissioner, some of the information requested was released to the complainant. The Decision Notice relates to the information that has been withheld from the complainant, and the Commissioner's view is that the remaining information is exempt under section 35 and section 42 of the Act.
