Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust

The complainant submitted 19 requests for information to Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust over a number of months. The requests related to the treatment of the complainant's deceased mother, who was admitted to Whipps Cross University Hospital in June 2004. The Commissioner was initially asked to investigate the alleged non-compliance with requests for information made in two letters to the Trust; however during the investigation it became apparent that it was necessary to consider the requests for information in their entirety to investigate the complaint thoroughly. The Commissioner is satisfied that all of the information held in relation to these requests has now been provided, although there were a number of breaches of Part 1 of the Act.
