The complainant made a request on 6 May 2005 for information relating to the handling of a previous Freedom of Information request that he had made. Some information was released, but some, contained in letters dated between 3 June 2006 and 25 July 2005, was withheld under section 42 (legal professional privilege). After an investigation the Commissioner has decided that the exemption was applied correctly, but that the response was sent outside the 20 working day time limit. The Information Tribunal has ruled on this decision and has partly upheld this appeal.
