  • Decision(s) FOI 10: Upheld
The complainant made a series of requests for information to the University of Salford, via the ‘WhatDoTheyKnow.com’ website. These were refused by the university as vexatious, under the provisions of section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act. The Commissioner has examined the public authority’s reasons for refusing the requests and finds that the public authority incorrectly applied section 14(1) to the requests. He requires the public authority to respond to the requests in accordance with the provisions of section 1 of the Act, within 35 calendar days. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2011/0062 withdrawn.
