  • Decision(s) FOI 16: Upheld
The complainant requested information from the Home Office in relation to the early stages of the process by which cases reported to the police are investigated. The Home Office provided the complainant with links to information in the public domain. The complainant was dissatisfied with the way in which the Home Office handled her request for information. The Commissioner has investigated and found that the exemption provided by section 21 (information accessible by other means) is engaged. Although the Commissioner identified a series of procedural shortcomings on the part of the public authority, he requires no steps to be taken.
