The complainant made a request to the University of Bristol (the University) for banded salaries attached to specific job titles for those individuals responsible for major financial and policy initiatives. The University applied section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) and withheld the requested information. The Commissioner considers that section 40(2) was incorrectly applied in this case.
