  • Decision(s) FOI 44: Not upheld
The complainant requested information obtained by the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) describing action taken by public authorities to comply with recommendations made by the LGO. The LGO refused to disclose this information, citing the exemption provided by section 44(1)(a) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the LGO applied the exemption provided by section 44(1)(a) of the FOIA correctly and so it is not required to disclose the information requested. Information Tribunal appeal number EA/2011/0307 dismissed.
