CityWest Homes

The complainant requested information from City West Homes (“CWH”) concerning works being carried out to ensure that residents of the property where the complainant lives can continue to receive a television signal following the digital switchover. CWH refused to respond to the requests on the basis that they were vexatious under section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the FOIA”). The Commissioner’s decision is that CWH did not correctly rely on section 14(1) in this particular case. The Commissioner requires the public authority to respond to the complainant’s requests for information.
