- Decision(s) FOI 14: Not upheld
The complainant requested information from Basildon Council (the council) relating to the registration of a named property as ‘unfit for human habitation’. The council argued that it did not have to comply with the request because it was vexatious and repeated under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the FOIA”).The Commissioner’s decision is that the council correctly determined that the request was vexatious under the FOIA. There are no steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal number EA/2012/0060 dismissed.
