The complainant requested the names of councillors from Cornwall Council (the council) who had had to be taken to court to force payment of council tax in the previous two years. The Information Commissioner’s (the Commissioner’s) decision is that the council was correct to withhold the information under section 40(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require the council to take any steps.
