The complainant requested the ethnic minority data of applicants for a diploma course offered by the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Continuing Education from 1999 to 2004. The University stated that it did not retain the data and was unable to fulfil the complainant’s request. The Commissioner’s decision is that the University of Cambridge has correctly stated that it does not hold the data.
