The complainant has requested information in relation to the amount spent on refurbishing Whitehall and No. 10 Downing Street. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was not entitled to rely on section 12(2) FOIA to refuse to comply with item 1 of the request. The Commissioner requires the public authority to confirm or deny if it holds information within the scope of item 1 of the request and issue an accurate response to the complainant in response to item 2 of the request.
