The complainant requested copies of all correspondence received by the PSOW in relation to his complaint against a named Councillor. The PSOW refused to provide the information relying on section 44(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’). The Commissioner’s decision is that the PSOW correctly relied on section 44(1)(a) of the Act and is not therefore required to provide the information.
