The complainant has requested information about the number of sexual assaults and rapes reported where the offender was a taxi or private hire driver. The public authority confirmed that it held information but advised that to comply with the request would exceed the appropriate limit. The Information Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority has correctly applied section 12(1) of FOIA as a basis for non-disclosure of the requested information.
