  • Decision(s) FOI 30: Not upheld
The complainant made a freedom of information request to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA) for a copy of a report outlining details of an allegation of fraud made against 2 individuals. The NHS BSA refused the request under the exemptions in section 30(1)(a)(i) (investigations), section 40(2) (personal information) and section 41 (information provided in confidence). The Commissioner has investigated the complaint and found that section 30(1)(a)(i) exemption is engaged and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2013/0128 dismissed.
