The complainant requested information relating to any private meetings held between the Chair of the BBC Trust and/or the Director General and four named party leaders between January 2012 and the date of his request. By the date of this notice the BBC had yet to provide a substantive response to this request and the Commissioner’s decision is that, in so doing, the BBC has breached the requirements of section 10(1) and 17(3) of the FOIA. The Commissioner requires the public authority provide to the complainant a final response to his information request under FOIA.
