  • Decision(s) FOI 1: Not upheld
The complainant has requested information from Queen’s University, Belfast (“the University”) relating to an application to Queen’s Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) for the recognition of a law degree. The University disclosed information in relation to part 2 of the complainant’s request, stated that it did not hold information in relation to parts 5 and 6 of the request, and stated that parts 1, 3 and 4 were not valid requests under FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the University has incorrectly declared parts 1, 3 and 4 not to be valid requests under section 8 of FOIA. However, the Commissioner is satisfied, on the balance of probabilities, that the University holds no further information within the scope of the complainant’s request that it has not already disclosed to the complainant. The Commissioner therefore orders no steps to be taken.
