The complainant has requested information about a debt owed to the council by her mother’s estate following the death of her mother. The council has refused to provide the information on the grounds that section 41 of the Act applies (information held under a duty of confidence). The Commissioner’s decision is that Kent County Council has correctly applied section 41 to the information. The Commissioner does not require the council to take any steps. Information Tribunal EA/2013/0239 dismissed.
