The complainant requested a copy of the Wyn Mears Report into the translation profession in Wales. The Welsh Language Commissioner (‘the WLC’) refused the request on the basis of section 44(1)(a) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the WLC has correctly relied on section 44(1)(a) of the FOIA to withhold the information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.<p><b>Crynodeb:</b> Gofynnodd yr achwynydd am gopi o Adroddiad Wyn Mears ar y proffesiwn cyfieithu yng Nghymru. Gwrthododd Comisiynydd y Gymraeg y cais ar sail adran 44(1)(a) o’r Ddeddf. Nid yw’r Comisiynydd Gwybodaeth yn gofyn i unrhyw gamau gael eu cymryd.
