The complainant asked the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide him with the final versions of advice to ministers and the final papers for ministerial meetings in relation to amendments to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) for communications with the Royal Family and Royal Household. The MoJ refused the request, citing several exemptions, amongst them section 35(1)(a). The Information Commissioner has concluded that the withheld information is exempt from disclosure on the basis of section 35(1)(a).
