The complainant has requested information relating to an internal audit review of procedures within the Policing Board Pensions Administration Branch. The Policing Board refused the request, claiming reliance on the exemption at section 36(2)(c) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the exemption at section 36(2)(c) is engaged and the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the withheld information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
