The complainant has requested the gross salary paid by the BBC to the Radio 4 presenter Mr John Humphrys, during the financial year 2012-2013. The Commissioner’s decision is that this information is held by the BBC genuinely for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature’ and does not fall under the FOIA. The Commissioner therefore upholds the BBC’s position and requires no steps to be taken.
