The complainant has requested information relating to emails sent to and from specified email addresses. The Commissioner’s decision is that City of York Council (the council) has breached section 10 and section 17 of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require any remedial steps to be taken in this case. However, he does feel it necessary to remind the council of its obligations under section 17 of the FOIA, and that future responses should be dealt with accordingly. These breaches will be recorded for future monitoring purposes.
