The complainant has requested information from the Department for Communities and Local Government (“the DCLG”) concerning the way it had dealt with a previous information request. The DCLG refused to supply the information sought by the complainant by relying on section 14(1) of the FOIA, on the grounds that this new request was vexatious. The Commissioner’s decision is that the DCLG is entitled to rely on section 14(1). The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any further action in respect of this matter.
