The complainant has requested a copy of the witness statements submitted to the Standards Committee in relation to its investigation into a named parish councillor. East Riding of Yorkshire County Council (the Council) refused to disclose the requested information under section 44(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). The Commissioner considers that the Council was correct to apply section 44(1)(a) FOIA to the withheld information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
