The complainant requested information relating to South Wales Police's review in 2002 of the original Royal Military Police investigation into the disappearance of Katrice Lee. South Wales Police refused the request by virtue of sections 31 and 40(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner has concluded that the requested information is exempt from disclosure on the basis of sections 31(1)(a) and (b). He does not require any steps to be taken.
