The complainant requested information concerning her complaint against the bank which stopped payment of her late husband’s pension. The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) stated that it had provided all the information that it held. The Commissioner’s decision on the balance of probabilities is that FOS does not hold any further information, within the scope of the request. The Commissioner also finds that FOS breached section 10(1) of the FOIA because of the late response. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2014/0293 dismissed.
