North Tyneside Council (“the council”) refused to provide the information because it considered that the request was vexatious under section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the FOIA”). The Information Commissioner’s decision is that the council correctly relied on section 14(1). He does not require any steps to be taken.
