  • Decision(s) FOI 32: Not upheld

The complainant requested information from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) relating to applications received by Leeds County Court in the year ending 31 December 2006 for certain types of order made under the Family Law Act 1996. MoJ confirmed that it held information within the scope of the request but refused to provide it citing sections 14(2) (repeated requests) and 32 (court records) of FOIA. The Commissioner has investigated MoJ’s application of section 32(1)(c) to those parts of the request it considers engage that exemption. The Commissioner’s decision is that MoJ was entitled to rely on section 32(1)(c) of FOIA. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal GIA/1934/2015 dismissed.
