The complainant requested information on the registration service at Somerset County Council (“the Council”). The Council has refused to provide the requested information relying on section 14 (1) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council has correctly applied section 14(1). The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any steps to ensure compliance with the legislation.
