The complainant has requested information about live police operations concerning historical sexual offences. The Metropolitan Police Service (the “MPS”) has provided a small amount of information and confirmed it did not hold some information but either withheld, or refused to confirm or deny holding, the remainder, citing the following exemptions: 30(1)(a)(i) and (3) (investigations and proceedings), 31(1)(a) and (b) and (3) (law enforcement), 40(2) and (5) (personal data) and 23(5) (relating to security bodies). The Commissioner is satisfied that it was entitled to rely on sections 30(1)(a)(i), 30(3) and 31(1)(a) & (b) and that the public interest lies in maintaining these exemptions. No steps are required.
