Newtown and Llanllwchaearn Town Council

The complainant requested financial information including summary income and expenditure and the Annual Return analysis for 2012 - 2013, plus estimates for 2013 - 2014. Newtown and Llanllwchaearn Town Council (“the Council”) provided part of the requested information within the statutory time for compliance, and following the Commissioner’s intervention it subsequently provided the remaining information to the complainant. The Commissioner’s decision is that in providing a considerable part of the requested information significantly later than 20 working days from receipt of the request, the Council failed to comply with section 10(1) of the FOIA. As the information has now been provided, the Commissioner does not require the Council to take any steps with regard to this particular case.
