The complainant requested information about the costs of overseas trips taken by members of the BBC’s Executive Board. The BBC stated that to try and comply with the request would exceed the appropriate limit in costs set by section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the FOIA”). The Commissioner’s decision is that the BBC correctly applied section 12(1) and found that there is no breach of section 16(1).
