The complainant requested information about academies/free schools who have changed sponsors or moved from one academy chain to another. The DfE provided some information but withheld details of the costs involved under sections 36(2)(c) and 43(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the DfE has correctly applied section 36(2)(c) to the withheld information. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2015/0137 allowed.
