The complainant submitted a number of requests to the public authority for information in relation to a contract for the provision of bus shelters carrying advertising in Southampton. The public authority disclosed the information requested with the exception of information within the scope of one request in relation to the financial benefits of the contract. The relevant information was withheld on the basis of the exemption at section 43(2) FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority was entitled to rely on section 43(2) to withhold the information referred to as “the disputed information” in this notice. No steps are required. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2016/0008 allowed.
