  • Decision(s) FOI 12: Not upheld

The complainant made 22 related requests to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (“FCO”). The FCO refused to provide the requested information citing section 12 (cost of compliance) as its basis for doing so. The Commissioner’s decision is that the FCO is entitled to rely on section 12 as its basis for refusing to respond to the requests. It has also provided adequate advice and assistance in accordance with section 16 of the FOIA. No steps are required. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2016/0019 dismissed.
