The complainant has made two requests for recorded information relating to the safeguarding procedures undertaken by East Sussex County Council in respect of the complainant’s wife. The Commissioner’s decision is that East Sussex County Council is entitled to rely on section 17(6) of the FOIA. Under this provision the Council is not obliged to respond to the complainant’s requests. The Council may rely on section 17(6) having previously refused to supply the complainant with the same information in reliance on section 14(1) – vexatious requests. The Commissioner does not require the public authority to take any further action in this matter
