The complainant requested information from the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) relating to requests for early release from prison on compassionate grounds. The MoJ cited section 12 of the FOIA (cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limit). The Commissioner’s decision is that the MoJ has correctly applied section 12. She requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2016/0205 dismissed.
