NHS Improvement

The complainant has requested information on the use of off-framework agencies by NHS trusts. NHS Improvement considered this information to be exempt from disclosure on the basis of section 33(1)(b) and 31(1)(g) for some of the information. The Commissioner’s decision is that the section 33 exemption is engaged and the balance of the public interest lies in maintaining the exemption. The Commissioner therefore requires no steps to be taken.
