The complainant requested a copy of Cardiff Council’s reply to the consultation on the draft Welsh language standards. The Welsh Language Commissioner (‘the WLC’) refused the request under section 44 of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the WLC has correctly applied section 44 of the FOIA. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2017/0046 dismissed.
