The complainant requested information on undergraduate timetables for a medical course. The University of Manchester (the University) provided some information for the academic year 2015-16 but the complainant’s request was for information for the academic year 2014-15. By failing to provide the requested information the University has breached section 1 of the FOIA as it has not confirmed or denied whether the actual information requested is held. The Commissioner requires the public authority to provide the complainant with a response to the request for the information for the academic year 2014-15.
