The complainant has requested minutes of a meeting discussing the sale of the student loan book. The Department for Education (“DfE”) refused the request on the basis of section 36(2)(b)(i), (ii) and 2(c). The Commissioner’s decision is that the DfE has correctly applied the provisions of sections 36(2)(b)(i) and (ii) and the public interest favours withholding the information.
