The complainant has requested information from the London Borough of Wandsworth (“the Council”) relating to advice obtained by the Council on charging leaseholders for the cost of attaching sprinklers in blocks of ten or more storeys. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council has correctly withheld the information under section 42(1) of the FOIA as it is subject to legal professional privilege. The Commissioner does not require the Council to take any steps.
